vBulletin 3.1?

  • Hi,

    I know vBulletin 3x is fairly new, but does anyone know when 3.1 is planned to be released? I have noticed that vB 3x seems to lack some features that IPB has. (Warning system etc/reason for bans etc) and I was just wondering if these features are ever likely to be used in vB and if so, when? My board really needs these features and I understand that IPB has them.. I know there are hacks, but I dislike hacks as they mean extra hassle/work.
    I also want to stick with vB, rather than using some freebie forum, even though it has more features which we need.


  • The warning system is an mod you can find at vbulletin.org and by default vbulletin has a place to store member notes which would be a good place to store the reason they were banned.

    Most of the add on modifactions are very straight forward and even if you have dozens installed like myself, it really isnt that much extra work or trouble to go through an upgrade.

  • They are probably considering adding it to vB 3.1 . But really, if I were to ban someone - they would be e-mailed telling them why or i would interview them myself.
