R3120 Jig Saw

  • I recently purchased the R3120 Jig Saw and I am not certain that I am inserting the blade correctly. I am using a Bosch-type blade. The handle which opens/closes the blade clamping mechanism does not return to the same position as it is in when there is no blade inserted. Is this correct? This is same situation when I insert any of the blades that Ridgid provided with the kit. I believe that I am inserting the blade as deep as it will go in the holder.

  • Make sure that you open the spring-loaded clamp holding the blade as far as you can, this should allow you to insert the blade as deep as it needs to. I had a similar problem when I first started swapping blades in the saw.
