If Atheists Don't Believe in God, why are they in Yahoo Religion and Spirtuality in the first place?
Whilst gravity can not be seen its effects can, you may say this about your "God" but the effects you attribute to your God can be explained in other ways!
If your bible is true where are the dinosaurs in it?
These things have been proven whereas your God has not!
Some of us are here to try to break some of the religious out of their cult style thinking.
Open your bible and start reading.
Keep a note book.
Every time it describes God make a note of the description.
At the end of it see if God is possible according to those descriptions. The descriptions often conflict with each other.
Now check them against the description of God that you were taught, the description your pastor believes, and see if those are possible with the bible description.
Is the God you believe in possible.
I know that you will not accept anything I say, but maybe you will accept your own bible and your own research.
I'll give YOU proof when you give ME proof that he is real.
I'm in the religion, because I like to see other people's outlooks on why or why not they believe him, and see what they're religion supports.

Oh and BTW; in the Bible it states that God leaves his son to burn in hell. At least that's what I've been told numerous upon numerous times.

If this god is supposed to be all powerful ask it to appear to all of us then. Shouldn't be too difficult for it should it? I wanna see with my own eyes.

EDIT: Sweetheart, it is impossible to prove the non-existence of something. Surely you are not so obtuse that you cannot see that? Your non-sensical (and entirely unoriginal) example of gravity is ludicrous. Newton realised that 'something' was causing the apple to fall to earth. He decided to call it 'gravity'. You can PROVE the existence of gravity and its effects by scientific, documentable means that can be reproduced.
Unless you've got a God-gravimeter tucked in your back pocket somewhere, I suggest that you find a more correct analogy to back your argument.
-Gravity can not be seen, but it can be tested in other means. It has different properties based on the mass of objects. The more mass an object has, the greater its force of gravity is.
-There is recorded history of evolution. It's called fossils. The more fossils that are found, the more evolution makes sense. It's like putting together a jigsaw puzzle.
Evolution is a fact.
Here is some logical proof for you.
I say god doesn't exist because there is no evidence for it. Now, I know that lack of evidence isn't proof, but there is more.
I say that god doesn't exist because the attributes ascribed to him contradict each other...
It is not possible for a being to be all knowing, all powerful, and totally benevolent, and be the creator of this world....
Why? Because a perfect being that knows everything, and has only a desire to do good, cannot have been the cause of anything bad. And since we know for a fact that bad things happen every damn day, we also know that god could Not have been the ultimate cause of everything if he knew that these bad things would happen.
Furthermore, gravity CAN be seen. Look at black holes. Those have been observed, and those are nothing but extreme gravity wells. We can also test gravity, and rely on it every time we drop something. There's no doubt about gravity.
Also, we've seen plenty of species evolve. Besides the overwhelming fossil evidence, there are many LIVING species that have shown evolution. House sparrows have adapted to the climate of North America, mosquitoes have evolved in response to global warming, and insects have evolved resistance to our pesticides. These are all examples of evolution. Furthermore, BACTERIA evolves ALL the time. That's why our antibiotics are becoming less effective all the time. Viruses also evolve non-stop.
BY THE WAY: ATHEISM IS NOT A RELIGION!!! Atheism is LACK of religion. That's like saying HEALTH is a type of disease!!!
