Any ideas for food options?

  • Sometimes I get a bit hungry sometimes but at the moment I think I am not eating very healthy foods. I want to change. At the moment this is what I eat:

    Breakfast: Cereal with sultanas
Recess: Hot chips with Barbecue sauce and a mango drink
Lunch: Any chips with a mango drink and chocolate
Dinner: Fried rice or normal rice with soup
    Snack: Chocolate

So that is usually what I eat. I want healthy and delicious options. So I can be fit and strong. Any ideas? Also so I don't get a rumbly stomach during class and everything. I don't eat meat and I only eat vegetables sometimes. So Fruit and vegetable options please.

    Please help
    & Thanks

  • First of all, sorry but I don't know what sultanas is. But any way, cereal is good for breakfast. Include fruit. At recess try whole wheat crackers and some fruit. Fruit drinks low in sugar are good. Lunch, have some brown rice and vegetables, or whole wheat noodles and vegetables. Include some yogurt sometime during the day. You need some protein source. Eat beans and rice for a complete protein. Try soy proteins. Snack on fruit, raisins, nuts, whole wheat crackers and such. Keep in mind the proteins keep your stomach from rumbling. Hope that helps a bit.

  • get rid of the hot chips and replace it with fruit, yogurt or crackers like wheatins. apples are great in the morning/recess. i really like putting bananas into strawberry yoplait yogurt or putting cereal into vanilla yogurt. or eat string cheese. theres also chocolatey yogurt if you want. my friend brings it to lunch all the time.
and have an actual meal at lunch like a veggie sandwich or salad or you could eat crackers with cheese on it with a drink (not soda or powerade or any type of colorful water - vitamin water) and a granola bar like nature valley or special k. eat chocolate either at lunch or after dinner.
anyways i think you should just get rid of the hot chips with barbecue cuz that seems a bit heavy for a snack.

  • check out http://www.AussieFoodShop.com they have heaps of ideas cheers

  • go get you a big mac or whataburger with grilled jalapenos--
or not--stick to the grapes and mango.

  • Pick a few fruits: acai, bananas, grapes, apples

    Whole grains: organic wheat, quinoa

    Healthy fats: almonds, walnuts

Veggies: Carrots, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans

    Drinks: green tea, OJ, water

    Meat: organic chicken breasts

Fish: SALMON, haddock, rainbow trout (WILD NOT FARMED)

Cut out cow milk and dairy- absolutely disgusting!

Remember breakfast is the most important meal of the deal.
